S'YTE x KAZUO UMEZZ Collaborate Collection
This is the second collaboration with Kazuo Umezu, a master of the Japanese manga world who is called the "God of Horror Manga" for his one-of-a-kind style and stories.

Fused red and white stripe of different width on the left and right, and arranged to create a S'YTE-like asymmetric design in Kazuo Umezu's signature style.
The asymmetric style is as if tops with different length were sewn together, and by making a slit at the hem, it shows high potential as a unique design top.

Together with the messages of "This is a fairy tale about robots" and "My Name is Shingo, the front of the shirt features a patchwork-like print of the faces of the main character, Satoru Kondo, and heroine, Marin Yamamoto, as seen in a black-and-white digital pattern from Shingo, as well as the scene where Satoru thinks of Marin the day after they meet.

The collaboration logo printed on the back of the neck is subtly accented with a bit font-style illustration that depicts the world as seen by Shingo in the comic, which was the inspiration for the logo.

It can be worn alone or as inner wear in a black setup to enjoy mode fashion with a freshness different from the monotone outfit.

This work drawn in the 80's seems as if Mr. Umezu unconsciously foresaw and expressed the current new age feeling of the expanding computer network.
It is a work that deserves to be appreciated anew for its masterful, meticulously rendered, painterly style and its warning against the computer society.

Kazuo Umezu (Manga Artist, Artist)

Born in 1936 in Koyasan, Wakayama Prefecture and raised in Nara Prefecture.
He began drawing manga in the fourth grade of elementary school, and made his debut in his third year of high school with the publication of "Another World" and "Siblings in the Forest" in book form by Tomobook. He has been called the "God of Horror Manga" for his hit works such as "Hebi Shoujo" and "Nekome Koso". Drifting Classroom" won the Shogakukan Manga Award.
On the other hand, "Makoto-chan" also demonstrated his talent for gag comedy. His gag, "Gwashi," became a social phenomenon. In addition, he has produced many other hit works, including "Orochi," "Baptism," "My Name is Shingo," "God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand," "14 Years Old," and many others.
He also holds many other titles, including TV personality, singer, and film director, and is active in a variety of genres.

In 2018, he won the "Heritage Award" at the Angoulême International Cartoon Festival in France for "I am Shingo".
In the same year, he also received the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award.
In 2022, he released his first new work in 27 years, ZOKU-SHINGO.
In 2023, he received the Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize and Special Award.
