INDIAN BLOCK PRINTED BOTANICAL PATTERN BALLOON SARUEL PANTS

Pants that combine elements of sarouel and balloon pants, made from a coloful fabric with an eastern-inspired print.
The reddish-orange colored fabric was created using a traditional Indian technique called block printing. The grainy diamond pattern features motifs of plants and trees.
The silhouette of the legs can be adjusted according to your preference using the drawstrings at the hem. A highly wearable piece that is a must-have for summer.
These pants pair especially well with any pieces made from natural textiles, especially cotton or linen.

ABOUT BLOCK PRINTING
Block printing is a traditional Indian craft in which ink is pressed onto fabric using hand-carved teak woodblocks. Natural herbal dyes made from plants and other natural minerals are used for pigments.
Block printing has an extremely long history in India, and can only be done by hand. Motifs of flowers, nuts, animals, etc. are stamped over and over again to make up the pattern, with each layer a slightly different color to the last.

Due to the handmade nature of Indian block printing, you may be able to spot minor flaws such as patterns that have not been lined up perfectly. However, this adds a unique, artisanal nuance to the piece in a way that cannot be achieved by machines.
*Due to the natural dyes that are used, please note that uneven coloring and color loss/transfer may occur. We encourage you to embrace this as part of the ageing process of the garment.
