S'YTE x KAZUO KAMIMURA Collaborate CollectionKazuo Kamimura is a cartoonist who was called the "Painter of the Showa Era" for his fluid brush strokes.This is a crew-neck, big-silhouette knit with an omnibus design of illustrations and drawings selected from a group of works depicting bewitching women who bloom in a flower of burning passion while concealing a certain sadness.An illustration of a woman in a butterfly-pattern kimono with a melancholy expression on her face, buried in flower petals, with burning passion and determination to survive in the world etched in her eyes and on her back, and the cover art of the period are reproduced in jacquard knitting on the front and back body and on both sleeves.Although the color scheme is edgy, the soft colors unique to jacquard knitting make it easy to wear as a set-up, and the color balance makes it easy to incorporate into outfit※ About the fabricThe fabric is characterized by minimal fuzz and pilling, high durability and resistance to damage by moths. It is easy to care for and does not shrink or lose its shape easily even with long-term wear.<profile>Kamimura KazuoBorn on March 7, 1940 in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture.In 1962, he graduated from Musashino Art University with a degree in design.He entered the world of gekiga when he met Mr. Yu Aku at the advertising agency Nobuhirosha, where he worked part-time while still in school.In 1967, she made her debut with "Kawaii Sayuri's Fall" in the first issue of Gekkan Town.The following year, he made a full-fledged foray into gekiga with "Parada" (original story by Yu Aku), serialized in Heibon Punch.Since then, he has released a series of lyrical masterpieces such as "Dosei Jidai," "Shura Yuki Hime" (original story by Kazuo Koike), and "Shinanogawa" (original story by Hideo Okazaki).In particular, "Dosei Jidai" became a hit work that has been described as "a milestone in the history of gekiga.He was also known as the "painter of the Showa era" for his fluid brush strokes, and was extremely busy, producing 400 manuscripts a month.In November 1985, he was hospitalized with a tumor of the hypopharynx.He passed away the following year, January 11, 1986. He was 45 years old.
