The pattern was created using a traditional Indian technique known as block printing, and depicts reddish-orange grass and trees. The pattern is incredibly eye-catching despite its graininess.
The cuffs are designed to give the impression that they have been rolled up. Fastening the buttons all the way to the top will create a clean and sophisticated look.
This piece is easy to dress up or down depending on what pants you decide to pair it with.

ABOUT BLOCK PRINTING
Block printing is a traditional Indian craft in which ink is pressed onto fabric using hand-carved teak woodblocks. Natural herbal dyes made from plants and other natural minerals are used for pigments.
Block printing has an extremely long history in India, and can only be done by hand. Motifs of flowers, nuts, animals, etc. are stamped over and over again to make up the pattern, with each layer a slightly different color to the last.

Due to the handmade nature of Indian block printing, you may be able to spot minor flaws such as patterns that have not been lined up perfectly. However, this adds a unique, artisanal nuance to the piece in a way that cannot be achieved by machines.
*Due to the natural dyes that are used, please note that uneven coloring and color loss/transfer may occur. We encourage you to embrace this as part of the ageing process of the garment.
