Shirt with a front placket and classic collar. It has an oversized fit and half length sleeves. The Madras check fabric was produced using traditional techniques in Chennai, India. A Japanese dyeing technique called "tatsumaki shibori" was used to achieve a unique geometric effect. This piece is made from light and airy cotton fabric, and has a loose fit that prevents the fabric from sticking to the skin. It is ideal for hot summer weather. The sleeves can be rolled up to create a more casual look. Alternatively, pairing this shirt with wide leg trousers and sandals will achieve a distinctly eastern-inspired look.As for color coordination, this shirt pairs well with black, navy, khaki and white pants.About "tatsumaki shibori" dyeingA technique in which a piece of cloth is rolled up into a cylindrical shape, and thread is wound around it from top to bottom. Meaning literally "tornado tie-dye" (竜巻絞り) in Japanese, its name comes from the way that the wound thread resembles a dragon making a tornado as it flies up into the sky. Please note that as the fabric is dyed by hand, the exact finish of each garment will be slightly unique.
