Ground Y introduces a collaboration collection with Mononoke: The Movie - Chapter Two: Fire Mouse, commemorating the upcoming release of the film. Derived from the 2006 late-night anime "Mononoke" (which began as "Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales") and later adapted into the anime series, Mononoke has remained a beloved series for 18 years. The film will be released on March 14, 2025, and Ground Y has reinterpreted the film’s unique world into their creations.

This collection includes items such as a dress featuring the protagonist "Medicine Seller" with a vibrant all-over print of Libra, blouses depicting the Great Hall and the Medicine Seller’s figure, paisley-patterned scarves inspired by the Medicine Seller's costume, and other pieces incorporating iconic motifs from Mononoke: The Movie. Additionally, designs inspired by "Fire Mouse," the key theme of the movie, featuring fiery dynamism and mystique, are also introduced. The "Mononoke Stripe" fabric, specially woven for this collaboration, combines washi paper, silk, and cotton, reflecting the film’s aesthetic with its impressive texture.

Sakura Saiga, a prominent model, was chosen for the visuals of this collection. Please experience the unique world of 'Mononoke: The Movie' created by Ground Y.

Derived from the "Ayakashi" segment "Bakeneko" aired on the popular late-night anime block "Noitamina" in 2006, Mononoke continued as a TV anime series the following year and has remained beloved for over 18 years.

In 2024, the first animated film, Mononoke: The Movie - Karakasa, was released and, supported by the enthusiastic fans eagerly awaiting it, achieved a remarkable long-run screening.

On March 14, 2025 (Friday), the long-awaited sequel, the second chapter Himatsuri, will be released.
