The Yohji Yamamoto 2026 S/S Collection is a journey toward haute couture. Each creation embodies the art of tailoring, exploring how methods of construction and materials define a garment. It does not rely on superficial staging, but instead confronts couture itself. While arriving at the power of simplicity, it does not remain there, continuously proposing transformation. Challenging conventional notions of beauty—where imperfection represents a richer ideal—this philosophy, in turn, establishes a unique concept of beauty rooted in the making of each individual piece. When that process reaches completion, it becomes perfection.

His inward and introspective journey through haute couture led both himself and us to Japan.
