Y’s 2025-26 A/W by MAX VADUKUL「TOKYO GIRLS」TOKYO EVENT

Y’s unveiled a series of photographs from its 2025–26 A/W collection photo project “TOKYO GIRLS,” shot in Tokyo by photographer Max Vadukul, at Y’s Omotesando in Tokyo on November 1.

Rather than portraying symbolic scenes of Tokyo—such as neon lights or bustling crowds—the series exposes the city’s underlying structure to visually illuminate the essence of Y’s. “TOKYO GIRLS” captures anonymity, tension, and the surreal theatricality that lies beneath the surface of the urban landscape.

“I wasn’t interested in the Tokyo everyone imagines. I didn’t need neon or intersections. Emptiness, pressure, surveillance—I wanted to capture the strange elegance that lurks within,” Vadukul says.

A cocktail reception was held to welcome Vadukul during his visit to Japan. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, various guests who have deep connections with Y’s or have contributed to its creative work attended to celebrate the installation.
