"Ground Y" proposes new aesthetics for fashion in a "genderless" and "ageless" style.
In celebration of the new release of the acclaimed "Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time"
Ground Y is presenting a collaborative collection with the "Evangelion" series, available for pre-order 10 days from July 16th (Friday) to 25th (Sunday).
The collaboration is exclusively available for pre-order on "THE SHOP YOHJI YAMAMOTO" and Ground Y stores in Japan. This collection will not go on regular sale and is exclusively available as MTO (make-to-order) during the above period.
In this collection world-famous anime "Evangelion", which attracts many fans with its characters, mysterious story and futuristic cutting-edge style, by Director Hideaki Anno, fuses with the spirit of Ground Y Inheriting the aesthetic DNA of Yohji Yamamoto, who came to advocate an antithesis to fashion since 1981, Ground Y continues with this expression of "black" as the inherent theme of this collection.
In addition to the jumbo cut-and-sew items that depict the 13th and 2nd units from "Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time", previous limited designs also make a comeback to this collection.
Japanese actors "Sae Okazaki" and "Rihito Itagaki" have been appointed as key visual models.
