Y's 1972 - A MOMENT IN Y's 'S WITH MAX VADUKUL
Part of the capsule collection that was created by reimagining iconic archival images from the past 50 years of Y's catalogues and campaigns.  
The 4-piece collage - the key visual of this collection - is boldly printed on the back of this biker jacket. Extremely oversized, it has dropped shoulders and gusseted sleeves to create a voluminous, masculine silhouette. The robust leather - sourced in Japan from a bull - has been tanned using a technique known as "drum tanning," dyed black once, and then dyed again using water-based pigments to further bring out the depth of the color of the leather. The elegant luster of the leather is alluring, but not too conspicuous. The tanning process was carried out using chromium, and the surface of the leather was finished by hand by craftsmen to give it an aged appearance, meaning that each piece is unique. This is a stunning piece that makes a strong impact all on its own.
