SOLOTEX SEAMLESS DOWN MONSTER PARKA

This piece is inspired by the PCU Level 7 Primaloft jacket (more commonly known as the "monster parka" in Japan), which is worn by the U.S. Special Forces.
The fishtail oversized silhouette was designed to be worn over heavy equipment, and soon became popular among fashion circles in Japan.
The monster parka was originally designed to be worn in extremely cold weather as part of the PCU (Protective Combat Uniform - a 7-layer ensemble worn by the U.S. Special Forces). The monster parka is the outermost layer of the PCU, designed to be worn over layers of clothing made from carded wool.
The fabric used for the outer surface is "SOLOTEX" Light Cross, a highly functional material also used in the S'YTE Packable Series.
The amount of down in each part has been carefully calculated to avoid excessive bulge.
Marked a high level with a unit fill power of 650, which represents the bulkiness of feathers used in down jackets.
The lining is smooth and extremely comfortable.
Available in black and white and sizes S and M. The oversized fit means that these sizes will fit most.
The white SOLOTEX with black lining, zippers, retractable hood, belt and drawcord gives a tidy impression.
Meanwhile the all-black has a more utilitarian feel.
The buckle on the front pocket is manufactured by the German company FIDLOCK. This is an extremely practical magnetic buckle that closes automatically just by bringing the two parts of the buckle close to each other. This buckle can be used to partially close the jacket in a hurry without doing up the zip.
The nylon belt featuring the S'YTE logo is similar to the S'YTE signature waist belt.
The double front zipper and double layered material are optimal for keeping the cold air out. The book-sized pockets are large enough to accommodate for bulky gloves or bottles. This eliminates the need to use a bag when wearing this piece.
The zipper on the stand collar can be opened to stow away the padded hood. The hood and adjustable cuffs make this piece suitable for light rain and snow.
In response to the rise of the oversized silhouette which has continued to take hold in recent years, we have attempted to combine the functionality of military wear with the panache of modern Japanese "mode" style.


The SOLOTEX material used in this piece has a stretchy molecular structure and is easy to care for. Its shape recovery and elastic properties means that it does not wrinkle easily.
This jacket has been treated with a water-repellent finish, making it ideal for everyday wear. The black has an excellent depth of color and does not fade with washing. An essential item reimagined with a Yohji Yamamoto flair.
