A drop-shoulder style military blouson reminiscent of the big silhouette bomber jackets that are proving to be a key item in streetwear this AW 2022/23 season.
The shirt collar gives a feeling of lightness around the neck, and the epaulettes, which are carefully positioned to emphasize the dropped shoulders, are fastened with buttons onto the sleeves and upper arms.
The eye-catchingly large flap pockets at the waist have a large capacity. They serve both practical and design functions, and bulge outwards when filled.
This is a classic Yohji Yamamoto piece that has the functionality of military wear, and plays with various details such as the conspicuous pockets and slightly rounded silhouette of the drawstring-laced hem.
The fabric is woven from worsted yarn to create a soft wool flannel, before being washed and scoured to further bring out the softness of the wool.
