Details

Characterized by a narrow V-shaped neckline and A-line silhouette that widens gently toward the hem, this 4-button jacket is reminiscent of a vintage sack coat. It is made of beaver cloth fabric with a high pile and elegant luster.
This style of jacket is said to have originated in France in the 1840s. It was worn instead of a frock coat during sports and leisure activities, for example when visiting the beach. It was often worn with a pocket watch.
Both the gold buttons/navy fabric and silver buttons/black fabric feel decidedly modern, despite the historical origins of this piece.
The tidy collar makes this piece ideal for wearing with turtlenecks.
Available in 2 sizes that can be easily accommodated to, for example by wearing a loose fitting coat over the jacket or wearing thick knitwear underneath.
