This piece is made from Indian cotton khadi, woven from extra thick hand-spun yarn. This hand-spun fabric compliments the raw seams perfectly.
Cotton khadi is one of the representative textiles of India. Woven from uneven yarn, it has a charmingly imperfect texture. It has excellent water absorption properties and feels good against the skin.
Mahatma Gandhi is well-known for wearing hand-spun textiles during his campaign for Indian independence. He once wrote: "Khadi is more of a thought than a cloth."
