Compact trifold wallet
It is a compact tri-fold wallet.
It is goat leather and has been dyed with the Japanese dyeing technique called “MIzuroto".
It is done by dropping dyes into water and copying complex patterns floating on the surface of the water onto a special type of paper.
It is a technique that is thought to have began when women in the imperial palace droned dyes into water in the Heian period.
Many years later, wacky processing was developed and the designs began being used on silk kimonos as well.
Each wallet is hand made by craftsmen, so they are all have different and unique patterns.
