Under the theme of “Anti-Mode,” S’YTE — inheriting the distinctive cutting and silhouette characteristic of Yohji Yamamoto Inc. — unveils its latest special collaboration with Junji Ito, Japan’s foremost horror manga artist, known for his masterpiece Uzumaki.
The collection launches on Wednesday, November 5, and will be available at THE SHOP YOHJI YAMAMOTO official online store, S’YTE Shibuya PARCO, WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO, Ground Y Nagoya PARCO, and Ground Y + S’YTE Sapporo PARCO.
To commemorate the release, a limited-time S’YTE × UZUMAKI POP-UP STORE will open on the 1st floor “GATE” area of Shibuya PARCO. On the opening day, Junji Ito himself will appear for a special autograph signing event (lottery-based).
This third collaboration with Junji Ito features newly extracted designs from Uzumaki, alongside exclusive illustrations created specifically for this collection.
Ito’s newly drawn artwork depicts Kirie Goshima and Azami Kurotani, both dressed in Yohji Yamamoto, seamlessly integrated into S’YTE’s refined detailing.
The collection is modeled by Ryohei Shima of the dresscodes, embodying the “quietly spiraling madness” that defines Ito’s world and the haunting atmosphere of Uzumaki.

【Junji Ito – Profile】
Born July 31, 1963, in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture. Originally trained as a dental technician, Ito debuted in 1986 with Tomie, his submission to the “Kazuo Umezu Prize” held by Monthly Halloween magazine — a work that became both his debut and a defining masterpiece.
In 1998, he began serializing Uzumaki in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan). Since then, his uniquely unsettling works have earned worldwide acclaim.
He has won the Eisner Award—one of the most prestigious honors in comics—four times between 2019 and 2022, and in 2025 he was inducted into the Eisner Hall of Fame. His international recognition also includes the Special Achievement Award at the 2023 Angoulême International Comics Festival and the Inkpot Award at San Diego Comic-Con.

【Ryohei Shima (the dresscodes) – Profile】
Born March 6, 1982, in Wakayama City. Singer-songwriter and lyricist-composer.
Debuted in 2006 with Mokegawa no Maries, leading Japan’s rock ’n’ roll revival. After the band disbanded in 2011, Shima formed the dresscodes in 2012, later continuing as a solo project.
In 2024, he published his autobiography “Bokudake ga Blue”, and released his 10th album † in May 2025.
